GF 1012 T range include 8 and 10 rotor tedders with working widths of 8.70 m and 10.80 m. Narrow fields will no longer be an issue for users of these mounted tedders thanks to the HLC (Headland Lift Control) rotor lift system . Simply activate the valve to lift the rotors a minimum of 50 cm off the ground, in less than 5 seconds.
They are also equipped with all the components that have made KUHN tedders such a great success over the years, both in terms of capacity and forage quality.

Benefit from the HLC system that raises the rotors at headlands. Your central rotors will reach a height of 50 cm and the outer ones will rise even higher.

Whether on roads or in the shed, our new tedders have been designed to save space and to be easy to manoeuvre operator comfort is a must!.
(3 meters wide and 3.15 and 3.30 meters high respectively for the GF 8712 T and GF 10812 T) These machines are very easy to handle.
The 3-point linkage system and cleverly placed transport wheels provide just the right weight balance between the machine and the tractor for rotor lift during windrow crossing or folding/unfolding.
Wide transport wheels (300 mm) located close to the machine's pivot axis enable easier manoeuvring. They make these machines reactive when turning and easier to drive.

When a KUHN engineer invented this drive concept, tedding entered a new era.
From that moment on, it became possible to drive a very large number of rotors and fold them to an incredibly compact size, and all this without any maintenance. A real revolution!
Since the launch of the DIGIDRIVE finger drive system twenty years ago, more than a million rotors have been working all around the world, tedding forage with exceptional reliability. The DIGIDRIVE system is made of case-hardened steel and requires no maintenance.

Rotor housings made to last

The guidance is done large-diameter, double-row angular ball bearings (1). Thoroughly sealed to prevent lubricant leakage and impurities getting in (2). Robust mounting on the rectangular frame with spacers and long through-bolts (3). With these rotor housings, greasing points are limited to a few pivot points, allowing you to spend more time in the field and less doing maintenance!

Crop deflectors for clean wheels

Operating in young sugar-rich crops or long late-season crops can be a challenge. Forage can get wrapped around the wheel columns resulting in downtime spent cleaning it off. Benefit from crop deflectors, for models from GF 5902, that prevent forage getting wrapped around the wheel columns.

The HLC system improves tedder reactivity considerably when reversing and manoeuvring. This ensures the quality of your forage over the entire plot, even in the narrowest field. The impressive height of the HLC rotor lift system means you can:

Easily pass over large amounts of forage without any of it building up around the wheels. The forage is turned once only, including the headland areas.
Reverse on uneven ground without picking up impurities (soil, stones) due to the rotors touching the ground.

Tedding like a 4-rotor

Experts are convinced. Small rotors produce better quality forage. According to the Weser Ems Chamber of Agriculture in Germany, they provide 33% faster drying time. The experts from the DLG (Agricultural techniques organisation) say that small rotors provide complete crop inversion and produce uniform grass distribution. View the test results!

Integral pick-up with asymmetrical tines

Asymmetrical tine length with longer outer fingers produces high quality tedding. The outer finger moves into the forage earlier compared to a symmetrical design. This ensures a more complete tedding operation, even on field borders and between rotors, due to better tine overlap in this tricky area. Moving into the forage earlier means that the actual working width of each rotor (therefore the machine) is larger.
